Who We Are

Just like our name, EVOIA, (the combination of Evolution + Fo̱tiá the Greek word for fire), we’re encouraged by how fire can evolve the next generation of agriculture. If we look back in time, production agriculture was founded using the four classical Greek elements of earth, water, air, and fire. Over time, agriculture transitioned away from fire for good reasons. However, we see an opportunity to bring back that ecological component of fire to help expand and grow production agriculture. Our mission is to support agriculture’s evolution toward sustainability with simple solutions inspired by nature. We plan to continue working to harness nature’s evolutionary synergies between fire and plant biology to drive climate smart agriculture approaches resulting in less natural resource use and down the pathway toward net zero admissions.

This enthusiasm for learning from the past as we direct an exciting future also embodies our team’s efforts. We use nature and science to spark innovative ideas and creative solutions supporting agriculture's evolution to become more efficient and sustainable to meet and overcome the challenges of climate change.
